Buttery Garlic Cabbage

I love cabbage. This is an easy side I like to throw together when we have Asian inspired meals that don't have any veggies with them. It makes me feel better getting something green in there. That, and it's yummy. Of course you could serve it with any meal, not just Asian inspired. It takes about 20 minutes from prep to finish.

This is enough for a little over 2 servings. It feeds my husband and I, plus my kid has enough on her plate to push around and pretend to eat. If there are four of you, just double the recipe.
What you'll need:
3-4 tablespoons butter
1/2 head green cabbage, chopped
1/2 a large carrot or 1 small carrot, chopped
4 cloves of garlic
salt and pepper to taste

First, melt your butter in your pan over medium heat. I said 3-4 Tablespoons, but I almost always go with 4.

While it's melting, cut up your half a head of cabbage and your carrots.

Put the Cabbage and Carrot in your pan and stir it all around in the butter. Now, you can go ahead and salt and pepper to taste. You may have to turn your pan down if it seems to be cooking too fast. After it's cooked about 10 minutes you can add your garlic. Cook another 5-10 minutes. I like adding the garlic later in the cooking process so the garlic doesn't burn. It should be done and ready to enjoy now.
